  1. Fernando Salem returns to the big screen after his debut opera How almost everything works, released in 2015. On this occasion, he had the possibility of representing a text by the Argentine writer Romina Paula. Despite not being a work of their own, certain dramatic parallels can be drawn between the two stories: women who are uncomfortable protagonists with their present who are looking for some answers that have been left unfinished in the past. Death does not exist and neither does love, which opens on January 9, is based on Emilia, a young psychologist who is invited to return to her hometown in Patagonia to spread the ashes of Andrea, her best friend. That trip will mean the reunion with the life he had left, with his friend's family immersed in an agonizing duel and especially with Julian, his first love, who just became a father. As in the novel, in the film you managed to immerse yourself in the anguish of the protagonist (Antonella Saldicco, who surprises with her first protagonist fiction) when confronting those ghosts of the past that once again feel their own flesh and cast doubt on all what she had built: a professional career, a stable job and a couple of years. On that tour, where she has stopped her life, she will discover how the stories of those characters who knew how to be key in their childhood and adolescence continued but now became somewhat distant and strange. The context of this drama, which allows certain touches of humor, occurs in the harsh winter environment of the Santa Cruz town of November 28. Together with the music of Santiago Motorizado they will give the perfect atmosphere to reflect on the stories and loves that we do not dare to live. - How does Romina Paula's August novel come to your hands, on which you base your film? - When I was doing my previous movie How almost all things work, Esteban Garelli, the co-writer, came and told me in the August novel there is a clue to solve a problem we had with the character of Celina the protagonist of the film. I read it, it served us and I loved it. I interrupted the writing of the movie to read August and as soon as I finished the movie, I approached Romina, through her friends and proposed to do something with her novel. She couldn't believe it since the other film had not yet finished. We started to work and the surprising thing was that he told me: "Look Fer me my work with the movie I already did it, now he does what you want". It was very dizzying since I admire Romina very much and believed that she would accompany me in the process. However he told me "it's your movie, so you have complete freedom". Was there a round trip with her? - Yes, I proposed the idea of, not to make any voiceover of Emilia (the protagonist) talking to her dead friend, put on the screen the dead friend, but not as a zombie but as a presence. He thought about it for a while and told me that he thought it was fantastic since it was not like the book and because I was putting my own things of magical realism. The truth is that it began to embolden me a little more to make it my own and look for my questions in the novel. It was a pretty angered adaptation because that freedom he gave me ended up somehow directing me. - What caught you in the novel? - What Romina has is a rather sordid look of the world, hopeless, but beautiful too. On the other hand, it is a feminine look. For me, it's approaching the female universe, it's like entering the brain and seeing what happens to her, what she thinks. More than anything for someone like me who, being a man, I am far from being able to witness that. The female universe is presented to me as a mystery and it is like a giant and deep Olympic pool, difficult to tackle. https://www.infobae.com/new-resizer/dyF66BpndqpKfHy5RbOxZ6Ag0w8=/750x0/filters:quality(100)/arc-anglerfish-arc2-prod-infobae.s3.amazonaws.com/public/5TR44UB7ONGBJAFTZJOPLXBLWM.jpg

  3. The lack of options of the manufacturers of hard disks before the increasing demand of the world of the data centers had its truce at the beginning of the year 2013, when a quite revolutionary technology caused that some and others continued of the hand. Almost providentially and after years of R&D, SMR technology came to mark the ground for SSDs and their capacity increase, but what is SMR really and how did it boost the desktop and server sector? In any case, the objective of any manufacturer of hard drives is based on three factors: greater capacity, greater speed and greater security. To these could be added a room that is not always linked to them or at least not to all of them, as is a lower production cost. SMR: the technology that achieved an increase in the density of the area SMR technology was not the only one that manufacturers implemented at the time to achieve greater overall capacity in their HDDs, therefore, usually when talking about SMR we usually talk about PMR at the same time, since they are contemporary. In any case, SMR is the acronym for Shingled Magnetic Recording and is a technology that has allowed to increase the amount of information bits that can be recorded in a specific area of a magnetic hard disk. Obviously, the more bits of information can be stored in a sector, the greater the capacity of the HDD. SMR is almost an extension of PMR, since they don't understand each other without the other. PMR achieved something very important: reduce the physical limit of the HDD head when writing or reading. This managed to write more bits in the same space, which was a relief for the hard disk sector, but it was not enough. SMR technology goes one step further and achieved something so far not conceived: allow a magnetic track to overlap a part of the previously written one in order to increase the density of the area. What is achieved is that it is possible that the reading head can obtain the written data of the uncovered part of the magnetic tracks. Less space used for writing equals higher final density To understand the revolutionary of this technique, it must be taken into account that in an HDD without it, the magnetic tracks are superimposed in parallel to each other and perpendicularly (only with perpendicular recording), that is, next to each other . On the other hand, with SMR the tracks can be overlapped on top of each other because the reading head only requires a narrower area than the magnetic track that is written. This only works when the data to be written is new and not edited or overwritten.

  5. For the Serbian Novak Djokovic, number 2 of the ranking, the organizers of the Australian Open should study a postponement of the first Grand Slam of the season if the fires that affect the country, and that have already caused 24 dead, threaten the health of the players . "If conditions are reached that affect the health of the players, I think it should be studied" a postponement of the tournament, scheduled from January 20 to February 2 in Melbourne, said Djokovic, president of the ATP Players Council, which It will meet before the start of the Australian Grand Slam. "It is probably the last option that arises and that the organizers will do everything possible not to postpone it," said Djokovic, present in Brisbane (Eastern Australia) to participate in the ATP Cup, the new team competition. Djokovic admitted that "a postponement is difficult because there is a calendar to respect (...) and that there is a lot at stake, but health is a concern for me and for everyone." Since September, 24 people have died in the different fires that have calcined an area equivalent to twice Belgium and forced the authorities to order the evacuation of some 100,000 inhabitants of the Australian Southeast. These fires are having an impact in big cities like Melbourne and Sydney, in which the air becomes irrespirable by the fires surrounding these cities. Forest fires in Australia left 24 dead so far Forest fires in Australia left 24 dead so far The world tennis calendar, which at the beginning of the year is traditionally installed in Australia, has already undergone changes due to fires, which the Canberra Challenger tournament, which starts on Monday, has moved to Bendigo (150 km north of Melbourne ) in an unprecedented decision. The first phase of the new ATP Cup is currently being held in Perth (west), Brisbane and Sydney (southeast). Sydney, the largest city in the country, which will host the final phase from January 9, has been living for weeks with an atmosphere contaminated by clouds of toxic smoke.

  6. For any philosopher without knowledge of law, it is difficult to pronounce on the judgment of the Norwich judge who yesterday considered veganism to be “a philosophical belief” and ruled that he deserves to enjoy the protection of the Equality Law, passed in 2010 in the United Kingdom to avoid that religions and beliefs are subject to any form of discrimination. “We can reach the absurdity that any form of life is claimed as a right; But it is dangerous terrain. The offense of veganism is not as serious as race, sexuality or religion, ”says Germán Cano, professor of Contemporary Philosophy at the University of Alcalá de Henares. In his opinion, the problem is that in advanced “first world” societies, the mistake is made that followers of different lifestyles tend to take a privilege. Cano places the root of this distortion in the secularization of society and the progressive loss of weight of religion. "There is the circumstance that one thinks that their lifestyle, regardless of what it is, should be equated with the weight that religions have had, and that is why they seek the fit of their ideology in the field of law." In the absence of the court ruling on whether the dismissal of Jordi Casamitjana, a British citizen of Catalan origin who sued his company for firing him as a result of his "declared vegan convictions," was or may not, Cano believes that his argument that being discriminated against for being vegan is a “extemporaneous justification” that is meaningless. Jorge Rlechman, Professor of Philosophy at the Autonomous University of Madrid, recalls that legal systems incorporate philosophical beliefs, a reality that can lead some citizens to be equivocal about their moral requirements. "The 1948 human rights declaration, for example, has many philosophical principles behind, but it is difficult to adapt the different beliefs in a legal framework." For Javier Morales, author of the book The day I stopped eating animals, rather than a philosophical belief, veganism is a political movement. "If we talk about the regulatory framework, what would make sense is that the rulers worry about offering options to vegans in public services such as dining rooms in hospitals or schools." In his opinion, this current cannot be considered a religion, but a revolution with a force similar to that of feminism. “We fight to make animals visible and to eradicate the deplorable practices to which we submit them; Human beings are not the center of the universe. ”

  7. A robbery, a traffic accident, a death, a leak and a detained person. A criminal raid culminated with a stolen car and the front of a destroyed house, a dead motorcyclist, two fugitives and a pregnant woman apprehended by order of the prosecutor in charge of the case, Carlos Hermelo, of the Functional Instructional Unit (UFI) 18 Decentralized of Argentine Falklands. The incident occurred early Friday, at the intersection of the United Nations and Lucio Mansilla streets of the De León neighborhood in the town of José C. Paz, in the northwest of Greater Buenos Aires. A 27-week-old pregnant woman set up a scene to cause the arrest of a gray Fiat Siena vehicle, driven by a sender returning home. When the man stopped the march, three criminals appeared, who in complicity with the woman forced the victim to get out of the car. They even shot him three times in the head. The three assailants fled in the stolen vehicle. They made ten blocks. On Fray Butler Street, Esteban Walter Segovia, 35, was driving his motorcycle to a nearby bank. He was going to withdraw money to leave his partner before heading to his workplace. It was about six in the morning. He had two children aged eight and six. The criminals rammed him and, due to the impact, lost control of the car. They ended up impacting the front of a house. The neighbors in the area came quickly to help. The other criminals escaped to the race. The pregnant woman could not flee due to her wounds and had to be treated on the spot when emergency services arrived. The motorcyclist was immediately referred to the José C. Paz Merchant hospital for his serious injuries: he died shortly thereafter. The pregnant woman was also transferred to the same medical center. On Saturday afternoon, she was discharged and was automatically apprehended by the prosecutor's decision, according to Télam. Hermelo charged him with the crime of "aggravated robbery due to his condition in town and band, and for the use of a firearm whose aptitude for firing could not be proven." The woman will be asked in the next few hours, when her health improves. In turn, he ordered the surveys of the security cameras in the area and coordinated a series of expert opinions in order to find the whereabouts of the fugitive criminals. “I don't understand what Justice does. The fugitives are all identified, they are known in the area, ”said the victim's aunt in dialogue with TN. The cause for the death of Segovia is processed by the UFI 4 of Guilty Crimes of the Judicial Department of San Martín.

  10. From our origins we already tried a good amount of motorcycles, economic motorcycles and motorcycles that are a little more difficult to reach, some massive motorcycles, others a little more exclusive. A few weeks ago we were testing the most important motorcycle that has gone through Motoblog, an MV Agusta Dragster Cast Corse, one of only 250 worldwide. In this Daily Motoblog we will work on a very special motorcycle, where the numbers of power, weight, torque, acceleration and others, only have a small part of the experience, because an MV Agusta is more than the sum of its parts and A fundamental characteristic of one of these beasts is the passion they transmit, which can only be felt from the seat and gripping the handlebars. They would be in vain to try to put into words the exquisite design of this motorcycle, but if we can testify to the quality and execution of it. It is no longer an Italian motorcycle of those that failed or sinned from design failures that only sought form and not function. The new generation of MV Agusta finished filing all the roughnesses that Italian motorcycles once had and now they not only have some of the most impressive designs in the field, but they have all the technology and reliability to enjoy them daily. We are going to leave the data sheet and all the boring things for the Test Ride that will come out in a few more days, now join us to celebrate the passione aboard this Dragster 800 RC in this new Daily Motoblog.

  11. Less than two minutes were enough for Amilcar Vidal Jr. to get rid of his last rival. The young Uruguayan boxer won again on the fast track at the Radisson Victoria Plaza in Montevideo and, on this occasion, his victim was the Mexican Leopoldo Reyna. The 23-year-old fighter starred in the stellar fight of the evening agreed to 10 rounds. However, it only took two minutes of the first assault to demonstrate why it is one of the promises of Uruguayan sport. Alejandro Velazquez, referee of the match, had to intervene on up to three occasions to tell the Mexican. Finally it was in the last one when the confrontation ended. With this recent victory Amilcar Vidal Jr managed to retain his undefeated, which stretches to 11 wins (10 by KO) and no defeat. The middleweight climbed back into the ring two months after what was one of the most important fights he played, when on November 15 he won the first round of Zach Prieto in his first fight in the United States. In addition to maintaining his invincible status, the victory against the Mexican also meant the farewell of the charrúa boxer from his homeland (Montevideo, Uruguay), since from now on he will continue his career in North America: “There are other things in the United States, like the sparring that are level, they are professionals And the meals are with a diet ”, he assured the Uruguayan portal Ovación and added: Here the professional boxer has to work, and there (in the United States) no, he dedicates himself to that because he has support from the government or the promoter." Pety, as he is known in the environment, comes from a family of boxers. His father, Amilcar, was an amateur fighter in 1960, while in 2000 it was his other brothers who climbed into the ring. Richard competed professionally, being Uruguayan champion and making presentations in Europe; Alejandro, the older brother, served as an amateur. Today both the father and his brothers accompany him from the corner. "Part of my motivation was them, wanting to get where they got and meet goals to make my family proud," said Vidal Jr, who also has 60 fights as an amateur that only fell on one occasion.

  13. Nicaragua's indigenous leader Mark Rivas was found dead in a city on the Caribbean coast, victim of a shot, the Yatama ("children of mother earth" in Miskita language) reported on Saturday. Rivas was leader of the Pri Laka, an opposition movement of Miskito origin, which has denounced the deaths of dozens of indigenous people and dispossession of their lands, supposedly at the hands of the authorities in the Caribbean area of Nicaragua, in the last 15 years. Yatama, party to which Rivas belonged, did not confirm whether the death was for political reasons. So far the National Police has not reported on the death of Rivas, which occurred last night in the city of Bilwi, head of the North Caribbean Autonomous Region (RACN), in eastern Nicaragua. A Yatama source told EFE that two versions are handled, the first refers to a discussion with an unknown person, and the second that it is suicide after the dispute with an unidentified person. Pri Laka lamented the death of Rivas, whom he defined as "good man, good citizen, a great indigenous leader." In the social networks circulated known words of Rivas, in which he explained that the indigenous “we dream of an autonomy where our representatives are chosen according to our uses, customs and traditions, not according to the current electoral system, where the parties decide and not the village". Last September Rivas denounced through EFE that the official Sandinista National Liberation Front (FSLN) has established “parallel community authorities” to increase the invasion of indigenous territories. The complaint was made in the context of the socio-political crisis that confronts an apparent majority of Nicaraguans with the Government of Daniel Ortega, whom humanitarian organizations are responsible for the deaths of hundreds of people since the po[CENSORED]r anti-government uprising in April 2018. According to Pri Laka (“Libertad”, in the Miskita language), at least 140 indigenous communities with an average of 300 inhabitants have been invaded since 2015, both in the RACN and in the Southern Caribbean Autonomous Region (RACS). The Miskito movement that until yesterday led Rivas, maintains that the last four years about 32 indigenous leaders have been killed, 28 disappeared, and two communities were burned down until they were uninhabitable.
