Dean Ambrose™
Last week Acer presented its commitment to the portable console market with the Acer Nitro Blaze 7, a console whose specifications we know, but not the price. What we also know about this console is that it is a rebranding of another model, specifically the Terrans Force Handle 5 model. The launch of this portable console is, without a doubt, a movement to expand its range of products and reach a greater number of potential customers, especially users who like to play. However, it is not the only movement related to the company's expansion plans to other segments since it also wants to gain a foothold in the power supply market. Unlike the portable console, which does not stand out for anything particularly, with the power supply it wants to do it in a big way with the Predator GX850 model. New Predator GX 850 power supply from Acer As we mentioned above, this is the first power supply that Acer presents, so this new range of PC components only has one model. Acer's new power supply includes 80W Plus Gold certification. It is an ATX 3.0 model that, as we can deduce from the name, offers a maximum power of 850W. It has an SFX design with dimensions of 125 x 100 x 63.5 mm to reduce its size and has a PCIe 5.1 connector. It has a 12VHPWR connector to connect the source directly to the graphics card. It is especially striking that instead of being ATX 3.1 it is 3.0. The new ATX 3.1 compatible power supplies that other manufacturers such as Corsair are launching, offer a 12V-2×6 connector that is safer than 12VHPWR. It has Japanese capacitors known for their great reliability and which are only found in high-end power supplies. It includes a 92 mm ball bearing fan, which only comes into operation when it exceeds 20% workload. As a good high-end power supply, it is modular, which allows us to connect only the cables we need to save space inside the box and avoid airflow problems. According to the manufacturer, this new power supply has a useful life of more than 100,00 hours. Another Acer rebranding? The fastest way to enter a market/segment is to use the rebranding technique, through products from other manufacturers and adding the corresponding label. Acer's new portable console is an example and this new power supply will most likely be the same case. To clear up doubts and know if Acer has really manufactured it, it is a power supply from SeaSonic, FSP, SuperFlower or any other manufacturer, we will have to wait for the first reviews, but everything indicates that it is a rebranding. Regarding the price, according to various retailers, this Acer power supply could hit the market between $130 and $140 and will include a warranty of only 2 years, a warranty that is far behind other manufacturers that offer at least 5 years. years warranty. https://hardzone.es/noticias/componentes/acer-entra-mercado-fuentes-alimentacion-pc/
