From the La Ensenada bus stop, in the Puente Piedra district, a group of drivers from route A of the Etuchisa transport company, better known as El Chino, indicated that about 100 units will not be leaving to make their daily route to Villa El Salvador due to the attacks that have occurred in recent days.

They told América Noticias that, yesterday, Tuesday, August 20, at around 7 pm, unknown individuals shot at a unit, destroying the windows and other parts of the vehicle.

“There are no guarantees to go out to work because the owners have not spoken out and there is no police surveillance, even though the police station is nearby,” they told the morning show.

First attack
The first attack against El Chino occurred last Thursday, August 15, around 5 p.m., when another bus was attacked near the Chillón boardwalk. The drivers, who preferred to remain anonymous, said that the attackers shouted that their actions were against the company, not against any driver.

The drivers said they do not know if the owners of the transport company have been the target of extortion and regretted the silence they have kept in relation to the attacks. In addition, they said that so far everything is uncertain.

What is El Chino's route?
Route A of the Etuchisa company, whose units are light blue, covers the Puente Piedra-Villa El Salvador route, passing through important points in the city such as the Bypass. There are 50 buses that will stop operating from Puente Piedra and a similar number from Villa El Salvador.
