The era of artificial intelligence computers is already a reality, and both hardware and software companies accelerate to integrate AI into their products. Last week, Microsoft and Qualcomm made a great announcement about Copilot Plus, and now Google wants to plant battle with the Chromebook Plus.

It was logical that Google would develop AI functions for Chromeos, since the company has already made Gemini a central approach to Android and Workspace. In fact, some features that have already appeared on Pixel phones, such as Help Me Write, generative ai wallpaper, video call backgrounds and Magic editor in Google Photos, will now be available in the Chromebook Plus laptops.

Of course, equipment users with the aforementioned operating system have been able to use Gemini through the web client since the market was launched. However, the AI chatbot had not been directly integrated into the development for laptops. After updating Chromeos 125, there will be a Gemini application of this type, which are good news. Remember that, for now, Gemini in Chromeos is only using a progressive web application (PWA) to open it in a separate window.

Gemini will arrive at the Google Chromebook
Some features are expected to be exclusive to Chromebook Plus devices, while others will be available for all models called Chromebook. Google states that they will launch "through an automatic update next week or something." Based on these descriptions, it is easy to visualize how Chromebook Plus devices could be a competitor for laptops with Copilot Plus. But can you really get this?
