Dean Ambrose™
There are many users who like to enjoy some of the titles they grew up with, titles that can currently only be used through PC emulators, as long as we do not have the physical console. If you have a Steam Deck and would like to enjoy your favorite retro games without using the PC and from anywhere, you need EmuDeck. With EmuDeck we can enjoy any retro game on any console from the Steam Deck, without having to configure the controls, apply performance improvements, complex installations and more, since it takes care of doing absolutely everything. The only thing we have to do is copy the ROMs of the video games we want to play. Retro game emulator for Steam Deck Thanks to EmuDeck we can enjoy any video game from Atari, MAME, Mega Drive, Game Boy, PSP, Nintendo 3DS, PlayStation 2, Nintendo 64, Neo Geo, Wii U, Nintendo Switch and much more, as long as it already exists on the market an emulator for the console on which the video game was released. Once we run the application, the title library is automatically updated to show the latest ones that we have copied and, from the main screen, we must choose the console of the titles that we have available. The application is responsible for configuring all the control buttons by default, so we only have to run the game and use the buttons shown on the screen to be able to interact and use the fast forward, save, load saved copies and exit functions. of the game without closing the application. If you like to get the most out of it and want to know the entire process and also modify it, you can choose the Custom option during the installation to customize the resolution at which we want the video games of the emulators that we are going to use to be displayed. Adding new titles is as simple as copying it to the device's memory card and updating the library so that it automatically detects the new titles and displays them along with the original cover of the video game. EmuDeck is an open source project created and maintained by the video game loving community, so it is available completely free of charge, like all console emulators. To download EmuDeck we just have to click on the operating system that we are going to use to carry out the installation, be it SteamOS, QuimeraOS, Linux or Windows distributions, although the latter is in beta phase. The video we show you below shows the steps to follow to install from Windows. The developers of this emulator are working on a version for Android that they will release in the coming months. If you have an iOS device, there is no need to wait, because Apple prohibits any type of content that is related to emulators. At that moment, a file is downloaded that we must execute to download the latest version available for our PC's operating system and that we are going to use to install the emulators and ROMs of the titles we want to play. If we have any questions during the installation process or how it works, the EmuDeck developer invites us to join his Discord channel from here or take a look at the Wiki of this project available on GitHub. https://hardzone.es/noticias/equipos/emuladores-consolasa-retro-steam-deck/
