Dean Ambrose™ Posted January 31, 2024 Posted January 31, 2024 It was 2007 when 2K Games presented to society, at least in Europe, a game that seemed destined to completely change the rules of third-person action titles. Its name was Spec Ops The Line and it was one of those that marked many PS3, Xbox 360 and, of course, PC gamers. So now that it has disappeared from the main computer stores we are not happy. That demo behind closed doors at video game events such as the CG in Leipzig showed us a tremendously ambitious development that later, when it reached stores, was endorsed with outstanding quality. Those were the times of many risky bets and exploring a new graphic dimension that had reached us all with the arrival of the seventh generation of consoles. Goodbye to Spec Ops The Line on PC The fact is that in recent days there are those who have realized that the YAGER title published by 2K Games in 2009 is no longer available to buy in the main PC stores, that is, Steam and Epic Games Store, although It has been Valve's where this absence has been noted, because until now it has been the main place to go to look for this title. This disappearance does not obviously affect all those who have this title in their libraries, so you will not have to worry if this is your case. Otherwise, you won't be able to get it unless you go to one of those stores that are a blessing for fish tanks: GoG. The CD Projekt RED store, which sells DRM-free games, is the only one that currently keeps this title among those available. Now, why has Spec Ops The Line disappeared from Steam - especially -? Is there a licensing problem or that 2K Games wants to cut off the tap on Gabe Newel's team? Here, at this point, conspiracy theories have run rampant. Possible return soon? One of the explanations offered by the remaining fans of this game is that 2K Games could be preparing some type of remastering, which is why the publisher has decided to eliminate the previous version available for more than a decade. The truth is that in 2024 it will be 15 years since its launch, which is a round figure to carry out some type of commemoration with this title. Be that as it may, something like this doesn't make much sense either because we have had recent cases of remasters that have been released with the original game on sale. Dead Space is one of them, which we can still use from our library without problems, in addition to playing a game with the new version that arrived, in this case, last year. Be that as it may, it is time to look in CD-key stores for one that allows us to redeem this Spec Ops The Line. One of the most remembered games of the PS3, Xbox 360... and PC generation (your keyboard hasn't broken, right?). https://hardzone.es/noticias/juegos/spec-ops-the-line-desaparece-pc-donde-comprarlo/
