Control videojuegos.

Alan Wake 2 was one of the great successes of last year 2023 and proof of this is that it has not only enjoyed the approval of specialized critics and the support of the users themselves, but also events such as the Game Awards where it was nominated for best title of the year. So it is normal that a certain Remedymania has returned and everything related to the Finnish study is the subject of rumors and news.

And the normal thing when a studio succeeds with a game is that, as soon as it goes on sale, rumors begin about what they will work on next. And the information that comes about Remedy in this sense is, to say the least, surprising, although the genre to which the one that everyone assumes will be the company's next creature will belong has already been decided. Can you imagine what it could be?

Remedy starts shooting everywhere
The fact is that it has been thanks to the Intellectual Property Office of the European Union where news has appeared of what the company's next project could be, since the Finns have registered FBC: Firebreak. So from that simple piece of information, a whole series of rumors have been unleashed that are connecting with some information that has arrived in recent weeks and that points in the same direction.

And what could it be exactly? Well, the official name of Project Condor, a cooperative shooter that many claim that Remedy is developing and that would take place, neither more nor less, than within the plot universe of Control, one of its most celebrated and remembered games that hit stores in August 2019.

And why do we think that both names are related? Well, because in the Control universe the definition of Firebreak refers to a kind of border area that takes the form of an infinite abyss and the acronym FBC could clearly correspond to those of the Federal Bureau of Control, coincidentally the same organization that we fought against within the original game.

Everything is connected
As you can see, Remedy does not give stitches without a thread and the new thing it projects seems like it is going to delve a little deeper into the lore of a franchise like Control, although no one rules out at this point that there could be more references to other games that are part of the history of the Finns and that are there as a way to refer to them camouflaged in each new IP that they invent.

One of those candidates to have his small portion of cameos within FBC: Firebreak could be Alan Wake himself, who has already shown that the world of dreams and nightmares through which he moves could be present in any other Remedy video game. And when it comes to inventing and connecting, there's nothing like turning to the creative talent of Max Payne's parents. That's the only way to achieve heaven, don't you think?
