In addition to Apple, Microsoft also has a wide range of portable and desktop devices through the Surface range, a range that has little by little carved out an important niche in the market thanks to its design, features and quality of materials.

However, it is out of the budget of many users. If we are looking for a versatile device that we can take from here to there and that also allows us to work directly on the device screen without using the keyboard or mouse, the manufacturer Minisforum offers us the perfect solution with the V3 model, a model managed by a AMD processor.

Minisforum V3 AMD Tablet
Behind this very descriptive name, we find a 3-in-1 convertible tablet, so it can be used through the keyboard and mouse or in tablet format, separating the keyboard from the device (which acts as a dock and includes a trackpad ) and using the touch interface, a touch interface that has improved a lot in recent years, especially with the launch of Windows 11.

Inside this convertible, there is the AMD Ryzen 7 8040 Hawk Point processor along with 32 GB of LPDDR5 RAM. As for internal storage, this Minisforum model includes a 2TB M2 NVMe Gen 4 SSD. Power consumption is 28W and uses a double fan system and 4 copper tubes.

Regarding the screen, we have to talk about 14 inches, a screen with a resolution of 2560x1600 with a 16:10 format with a refresh rate of 165 Hz, support for 100% DCI-P3 and a maximum brightness of 500 nits. The screen is designed to respond via a stylus offering support for freehand or finger writing just like any other tablet or mobile device with 4096 levels of pressure.

As for configuration options, this model includes support for WiFi 6E in addition to Bluetooth 5.3. It includes a USB-C to charge the device and send the signal to an external monitor, two USB 4 ports at 40 Gbps, a fingerprint reader to protect access to the device through Windows Hello and a headphone jack.

The front camera, with a resolution of 2 MP, is also compatible with Windows Hello, which allows us to unlock the device using only our face, without having to use a fingerprint or a PIN code or security key. Being a tablet mode design, on the back there is also a camera with a resolution of 5 MP.

The Minisforum V3 AMD Tablet has dimensions of 318 x 213.8 x 9.8 mm and a total weight of 946 grams, so it falls into the ultrabook category. If we talk about autonomy, we have to talk about a 50.82 Wh battery and a 65 W power supply that uses a USB-C connector.

Inside, we find Windows 11 in its Pro version with the latest update available on the market, 23H2. For now, the only doubt we have about this new Minisforum convertible is both the price and availability on the market, information that we will probably know in the coming days.
