Intel Core Ultra 9

We already have more details about Intel's next portable processor, which, theoretically and without being able to test it, would surpass the Core i9 in desktop computers. Which would take this CPU to the top of the range and performance in this type of component.

It would be the Intel Core Ultra 9 185H model, which, as we said, would offer superior performance to the i9-13900H from the same company. Let's find out all the details we have so far about him.

This is the Intel Core Ultra 9 185H
This is not the first time we have talked about this processor, over the last two months we have been releasing news, rumors and supposed performance tests, however, now it is closer, and all the data would have been officially confirmed.

Among these, we can see a CPU with a maximum frequency of 5.1 GHz and made up of 16 cores and 22 threads, which would lead to offering greater multi-core performance than the i9-13900H. All this with a TDP of 45 W, which we will only see in this Ultra 9 range within the new Meteor Lake line. The composition of this would be; 6 performance cores (P cores), 8 efficiency cores (E cores) and 2 low power E cores.

Speaking of numbers, we see how the new Core Ultra 9 185H obtains a multi-core score, in CPU-Z, of 8096.9, while the i9-13900H would only reach 7452, a notable difference.

And it is normal that everything leaks, since we are only 3 days away from December 15, the day they officially come out, and which, therefore, Intel has already had to start distributing among computer manufacturers , these processors, so that they can prepare the equipment with this new component.

Among the first laptops that we will see with this processor we have the Samsung Galaxy Book 4 Ultra, which is expected to be officially announced along with the release of the Meteor Lake line this December 15, so it is possible that we will know more details, including its release to the public, possibly being the first with this CPU to do so.

It is important to emphasize that since it is a processor for laptops, unlike desktop ones, it will not go on sale individually, but rather in prefabricated computers, so its performance will not only depend on it, but on the composition and the elements that accompany it, being a matter for each brand and manufacturer. So we will have to take it into account when carrying out tests, since even the type of refrigeration can change the results a lot.

And you, what do you expect from this laptop processor? Will it really have more power than a desktop i9, or, due to the cooling and other components, will it never achieve the performance of a PC in pieces? We will see what happens, what we know for sure is that in 3 days we will see much more information and we will be able to give a more realistic opinion, we will be attentive and we will bring you all the news that Intel presents to us that day.
