If you are a Meta Quest owner, you are going to like this news a lot, and Steam has announced to us that Steam Link is now available for these glasses. A technology that allows us to transmit the platform's compatible games to our VR device without the need for cables.

That is, you can play as easily as transmitting from your PC to your virtual reality glasses via WiFi. It is available for the Meta Quest 2, Meta Quest 3 and Meta Quest Pro models. Although it requires other requirements.

Use Steam Link in your Meta Quests
The news would come directly from Steam, completely official and with the functionality already active. They themselves title it as "Play VR games from your Steam library wirelessly with Steam Link"

In the same way, they tell us that it will only be compatible with Meta's virtual reality glasses and tell us other requirements that may not be met by everyone.

Among them, to be able to run SteamVR games wirelessly directly, we will have to have our PC connected via Ethernet cable to the router, as well as have 5GHz WiFi on it, since 2.4 GHz will not work.

Additionally, as for the graphics card on your computer, it must be a GTX 970 or higher and have at least the Windows 10 operating system; it would not yet work on Mac or Linux, even though Steam is on them.

Likewise, they recommend having the fastest possible RAM and internet connection so that it runs as smoothly as possible, although they do not specify a minimum requirement.

To make this system work we must have Steam and SteamVR installed on the PC, connect the headset to the same internet network as the computer, download the Steam Link app on your glasses and follow the instructions given to us. Nothing else. The process is simple and you should not have complications.

At that moment you will be able to enjoy your entire SteamVR library with the best possible connection and speed without having to worry about cables, so you will be able to get the most out of your Meta Quest and not stumble in the attempt.

The price of the Meta Quest 2 has been greatly reduced since the release of the third version, so if you have not tried one yet, they are still not a bad option to start with.
