Google has launched a Pixel Buds progressive web application (PWA) optimized for Chromebook computers that makes it possible to configure and manage the controls of the headphones , as allowed by the 'app' for mobile devices.Until now, Google earbuds could only be configured with the Google Pixel Buds Android app , via a mobile device running Android 6.0 or later.

In this way, users can check the battery levels of the headphones and the case , as well as manage sound functions , locate the device or configure the Google Assistant.

However, now Google has launched a Google Pixel Buds progressive web app for Chromebook computers , allowing users to manage the earbuds' settings directly through the computer, just as they can from their smartphone.Specifically, as Chrome Unboxed has learned , the PWA is available through the Play Store , but when installed through the Google application store it does not work correctly , but instead displays a 404 error.

In this sense, the same medium tried to install it from the address mypixelbuds.google.com, which the application was trying to access when downloaded. In this case, the Google Pixel Buds PWA did download successfully and started working without any problems.

Likewise, as Google points out on the download website, the Pixel Buds PWA has been optimized for ChromeOs and, therefore, "is only fully compatible with this operating system." Thus, to download the application from the web address, you must press the icon with three dots located in the upper right corner of the screen and then click on the Install Pixel Buds option. In this way, users have access to the different headphone settings from their computer, in the same way they appear in the mobile application. In addition, it also allows you to link them directly from the computer and use their main functions , such as activating and deactivating noise cancellation or managing the equalizer. However, some more specific features such as spatial audio control are not available...
