XZoro™
Spanish developer Tequila Works was among those who bet heavily on Google Stadia, releasing their third game after Deadlight and RiME, GYLT, as a launch exclusive for the Stadia platform in November 2019. Tequila Works CEO Raul Rubio also defended the platform's unsuccessful launch in early 2020. At the time, he beckoned people to wait until mind-blowing features promised by Google behind the scenes would materialize. He also said streaming was in the same stage as Steam's infancy and that eventually, people wouldn't even question cloud gaming in the future. While those features were never shown to the world and Stadia officially shut down earlier this year, Rubio was definitely right on the importance of cloud gaming. While the market is still relatively small, it is considered to be so important for the future that the UK's Competition and Markets Authority blocked Microsoft's $68.7 billion acquisition of Activision Blizzard based on cloud gaming competition concerns. Anyway, various developers have been working to bring their Stadia exclusive to PC and consoles. GYLT is among them and the newly published Steam page is a hint that it may be released sooner rather than later. For those unfamiliar with the premise of GYLT, this is a narrative adventure game with stealth, puzzle, and action elements. The protagonist is Sally, a young girl who's had a life. Following the disappearance of her friend Emily and being chased by bullies, Sally somehow finds herself in a twisted version of her hometown filled with her nightmares and fears. The game's soundtrack was composed by Cris Velasco (God of War, Bloodborne, and Chrono Odyssey, among others). The Steam page also shares a few extra details, such as the co-developer of this port (Parallel Circles) and the system requirements. MINIMUM: Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system OS: Windows 10 64-bit Processor: i7-2600K Memory: 16 GB RAM Graphics: GTX 1070 Storage: 6 GB available space RECOMMENDED: Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system OS: Windows 10 64-bit Processor: i7-4790K Memory: 32 GB RAM Graphics: GTX 2070 While the Steam page only speaks to the arrival of a PC version of GYLT, it is conceivable the game will be released on consoles, too. What is presently unclear is whether Tequila Works (also busy with Song of Nuru: A League of Legends Story on behalf of Riot) will improve the game in any way. The original reviews for the Stadia version weren't that great. LINK
