They belonged to the German Democratic Republic, but after the unification of Germany in 1990 the fighters were transferred to the FRG, and then some of them were sent to Poland. There is no information about when the Poles will start transferring the planes to Ukraine. By the way, Poland has already delivered 8 fighters to the AFU. Flashback The MiG-29 is a fourth generation Soviet multirole fighter. It was the main multi-role fighter of the Warsaw Pact and the USSR during the 1980s.
