The Tesla Model 3 is Elon Musk's cheapest electric car. Including all the discounts, it costs more than $30,000. However, the manufacturer wants to make cars for $25,000.

Tesla held an Investor Day in early March in which it announced the construction of a new plant in Mexico to produce electric cars on a new platform. 5,000 million dollars will be invested in the plant, but there is still no information about the new car.

Tesla wants to create a $25,000 electric car and sell 4 million units a year. By comparison, total sales of all company vehicles will be at best 2 million units by the end of 2023.

If the goal is achieved, it will most likely happen in the second half of this decade. Also keep in mind that by the end of 2030, Tesla wants to hit 20 million electric vehicles a year.
