Draeno Posted March 4, 2023 Posted March 4, 2023 Apple has released a new support document that offers a new service for owners of the Apple Watch Ultra smartwatch. Details Users can already ask Apple to check the water resistance of the watch. Initially, the Apple Watch Ultra can withstand being submerged underwater to a depth of 100 meters and allows not only various water sports, but also diving. However, certain incidents (for example, falls and blows) can cause imperceptible damage that affects the protection. It is precisely this type of damage that Apple employees check. They perform a visual inspection of the watch for visible damage, and if the device doesn't appear damaged, Apple next checks the watertightness seals and depth gauge. The company warns, however, that checking the tightness and the depth gauge can put the device out of service if there is any damage. And then it will already be necessary to pay for the repair, since these cases are not covered by the guarantee. In addition, it must be taken into account that the inspection takes between 7 and 10 working days. It is not specified if this service is paid or free.
