The GodFather Posted November 4, 2022 Posted November 4, 2022 Rabat - London-based mining company Alterian has announced the discovery of “high-grade copper and silver” in its recently-acquired Azrar Project located in the western Anti-Atlas Mountains. Samples from the project site, formerly owned by Aterian Resources Limited, found “highly encouraging results,” according to Alterian’s Chairman Charles Bray. “The results of our outcrop sampling campaign, including 3.79 % Cu [copper] with 23 g/t Ag [grams per tonne of silver] and 2.06% Cu with 24 g/t Ag, are highly encouraging and demonstrate the presence of high-grade copper and associated silver mineralization across a considerable extent of the Project,” Bray explained. Mineralization refers to the process by which minerals are concentrated in rocks or soil. Sample results, conducted in less than 50% of the project area, confirmed that copper and silver mineralization was identified across five target areas, which provides promising results for the project. To date, Alterian has 15 “highly prospective projects in Morocco,” covering a total area of 762 square kilometers. In October, Alterian acquired the Azrar project under its acquisition of Alterian Resources Limited. The deal followed Alterian’s admission to the main market of the London Stock Exchange on October 24, 2022. By entering the London stock market and acquiring a solid portfolio in Morocco, the London-based corporation is planning to acquire new assets across Africa to meet the growing global demand for the strategic metals key to the development of renewable energy, automotive, and electronic manufacturing sectors. The company currently operates three joint ventures in Rwanda, focused on exploring and developing tantalum-niobium-tin mining operations on a small scale. https://www.moroccoworldnews.com/2022/11/352208/alterian-announces-discovery-of-high-grade-copper-silver-in-morocco
