The cities are now connected with two weekly flights, making this airBaltic's first African destination. The flights between Marrakech and Riga are operated by the Airbus A220-300 aircraft and are scheduled to take approximately five hours and 15 minutes. A complete schedule of airBaltic flights and tickets for the new destinations are available on the company's website. President and CEO of airBaltic Martin Gauss said in a press release: “We are glad to launch the new airBaltic route today. Riga is a vibrant and dynamic city with a lot to offer to both business and leisure travelers.” Gauss continued naming the Baltic states as a “key business center…and also a convenient transfer hub with further connections within our wide network of routes in Scandinavia, Western and Central Europe, and beyond,” he added.
