Deliric -
New rumors from Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo provide information on the features and specifications of the electric car the Cupertino company is working on. RELATED NEWS Ericsson launches 5G RAN Slicing service, for 5G personal services... Ming-Chi Kuo confirmed the initial rumors, which indicated that Hyundai will be the Cupertino company's production partner, and it seems that the car will use the company's platform from South Korea, called E-GMP, announced by them a few months ago. According to 9to5 Mac, the E-GMP would have impressive specifications, with an autonomy of 482 kilometers and the ability to charge up to 80% in just 18 minutes. Also, a 5-minute charge would allow the car to travel another 100 kilometers. Hyundai also says that the maximum speed of the car would be 257 km/h, and it could reach 100 km/h in less than 3.5 seconds from the start. It is important to mention that these are the chassis numbers for the "high-performance" models, i.e. the top ones. The weight and aerodynamic performance of the chassis on a completed car is also currently unknown, so we can assume that these figures are achieved with a very light vehicle. E-GMP is built exclusively for fully electric vehicles, not hybrids. However, Ming-Chi Kuo notes that the development of the car will take several years: "Apple will launch the car in 2025 at the earliest. The new iPhone needs a process of about 18-24 months to get from the initial specifications to its mass production. Considering the longer development time, stricter requirements, more complicated production chain, and the big difference in car sales, I think that Apple, which has no experience in making cars, is already in a crisis of time if he wants to launch the car in 2025". here
