He said the latest actions against Huawei affect the American people more than Huawei. Andy said Huawei will eventually recover and adapt to the new environment, but many Americans will lose their jobs because the American industry will suffer. The extension of the measures against the company will urge it to move its entire supply chain to China and automatically lose all US partners. So less money will go into the American companies Huawei works with and they will automatically have lower revenues, which will later lead to restructuring and layoffs. He also says that once Huawei becomes independent of American technology, it will not return. And other Chinese companies could do the same.
