In discussions with the English team M-Sport for a possible return to a few rounds of the 2022 World Rally Championship, Sébastien Loeb tested this Tuesday, in Spain, the Ford Puma Rally1 hybrid which will debut in the WRC at the next Monte-Carlo. Sébastien Loeb is still working on a possible part-time return to the WRC next year with the M-Sport-Ford team. "There were discussions but the last contacts date back to July," he told us in an interview in early September. Contact has visibly been reconnected since the Alsatian was this Tuesday at the wheel of the Ford Puma Rally1 hybrid set to debut at Monte-Carlo 2022. The session took place on asphalt, in Catalonia, where Thierry Neuville won the round on Sunday. Spanish WRC. If the Spanish press concludes that Loeb, already involved in rally-raid and Extreme E, will be in WRC next year, the thing is still far from being recorded according to our information. The idea continues to grow but no agreement has yet been found between the various parties involved. Ford has already recruited Irishman Craig Breen to drive his new Puma. Frenchman Adrien Fourmaux will also take the wheel as official driver, although the announcement has not yet been made. For his part, Sébastien Ogier will participate in 2022 in a few rounds with Toyota. We do not yet know the number.
