Through a statement, the political party repudiated the assassination of Second Lieutenant Juan Pablo Vallejo.

 

The Democratic Center, through a statement posted on its social networks, rejected the violence faced by members of the Public Force and regretted the murder of Second Lieutenant Juan Pablo Vallejo, brother of Congressman Gabriel Vallejo.

 

The uniformed man found himself in an operation with the Technical Investigation Corps -CTI- in the eastern hills of Bogotá in the search for evidence to clarify the murder of a person that occurred on Wednesday night in that sector of the city.

 

The death of the uniformed man occurred this Friday afternoon in the middle of a confrontation with firearms, in the northeastern hills of Bogotá, between criminals and members of the National Police.

 

The second lieutenant died at the crossroads, and a prosecutor who was at the scene and one of the criminals was also injured.

 

In the statement, the Democratic Center added that more than 114 members of the Public Force have been fatal victims of this type of violence.

 

Likewise, they sent the representative to the Chamber, Gabriel Vallejo, and all his family, relatives, friends and members of the National Police a heartfelt message of condolences.
