This was determined this Friday by the head of the Court of Instruction Number 1 of the Herculine city after hearing the statements of these young people between 20 and 24 years old. The first three arrested, who refused to speak to the Police, did give their version of events to the magistrate, although only to questions from her lawyers. The fourth arrested, also accused of the theft of the victim's mobile, collaborated with all the parties involved in the case to justify themselves and try to avoid jail. The incarcerated are the man who started the attack thinking that Samuel was recording it while arguing with his partner at the exit of a pub, another of the boys who actively participated in the attack and a third, the one who took over the phone. The only one who was released, although investigated for the same crimes, was the detained woman, who allegedly encouraged her friends in the attack and for whom the Prosecutor's Office did not request jail. According to sources from the Superior Court of Xustiza de Galicia, the judge agreed to the admission of the accused to prison because she understood that there is a risk of escape and the possibility of alteration or destruction of evidence. The arrival of the first detainees to the courts of La Coruña occurred at the edge of 10 in the morning, when they arrived mounted in three police vehicles from the Lonzas police station. The youths entered the building covered with black hoods and sweatshirts, with which they tried to prevent their faces from being captured at all times. In the vicinity of the courts, the media expectation was added to the public. Dozens of people gathered at the entrance shouting "murderers" and even approached the lawyer of one of those arrested to recriminate him for rendering his services. The one who was questioned was the lawyer José Ramón Sierra, the first defender of the convicted person for the death of Diana Quer and who was asked by some of the protesters to "abandon the case" as he had already done "with Chicle." "Don't let your conscience allow you to defend those murderers," they snapped. Sierra, on his part, assured that his client testified "because innocents always testify." With six already arrested for the brutal beating of the nursing assistant, who had time to get up from the ground and cross the street before a larger group came after him, the police investigation continues. Based on the advances in the case, it is believed that at least seven people could brutally kick the boy, even when he was already unconscious, until he was killed in the middle of the street. Hence, the agents do not rule out new arrests in relation to the attack, which they are trying to reconstruct to identify all the participants and clarify the role that each of them had in the death of the young man, with the skull already deformed when the first toilets appeared at the scene. In this complex field work, the images captured by the traffic cameras and the shops in the area that recorded the beating, but also the testimony of the witnesses of the event, are proving fundamental.
