Ion Ţiriac announced on Monday that he intends to build an ice rink on the site of the velodrome in the Dinamo Sports Complex, similar to the one built with 3.6 million euros in Otopeni at the end of 2016.
Media: Digi Sport Special, Monday, 21:00, Digi Sport 1.
Sibiu Cycling Tour: Stage II, Monday, 11:00, Digi Sport 2.
Digi Sport wrote last week about Țiriac's plan, the businessman being willing to invest a significant amount in the benefit of the Dinamo club.

"I asked the Interior Minister for a meeting, but he still hasn't given it to me ... because they (no - the Ministry of Interior) don't know what to do with that velodrome at Dinamo. And if he gives it to me , I still make an ice rink there.

Because the area is very favorable, the subway is 2 meters away ... there are half a million inhabitants in that area. But I would make the skating rink the same as the one in Otopeni. I would not make an ice rink for the competition, it may be with 1,000 seats, not with 500, but also for parents ", Ţiriac explained, quoted by Agerpres.
Țiriac also wants to build a tennis center with 30 courts
He mentioned that next to the skating rink in Otopeni he will build a tennis center with 30 courts: "The future of the country should look like this everywhere. But now there are 4 tennis courts in Vâlcea, in Braşov another 6 or 10. .. but we do not yet have four regional centers in the country.

But I promise you that if no one puts us in trouble, the tennis center, the academy or as we call it, from Otopeni, we do it. And we do it with 25-30 plots of land where at least 200 children come every day ", Ţiriac specified.

The President of the Romanian Tennis Federation, Ion Ţiriac, participated, on Monday, in the launch of the free Tennis Summer Camp 2021 program at the Sports Complex in the Capital that bears his name.
