Presented to the general public almost four decades ago, the forerunner of the famous Mercedes E-Class has been available for sale in countless versions and configurations. Among the options available to buyers of the legendary W124 - because it is about it, there was also a performance variant.

Built by Porsche in Stuttgart, the famous and fabulous model offered under the name 500 E housed in the engine compartment an eight-cylinder V-shaped gas tank with a capacity of five liters, among others.
Accompanied by a four-speed automatic transmission - and with a 500 SL convertible, it delivers wheels on the rear axle with a maximum power of up to 326 horsepower. Plus a torque of 480 Newton-Meters, the sprint from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour thus being achieved in approximately 6.1 seconds.

The menu specific to the 500 E version continues with a speed limited to 250 kilometers per hour, given that the performance model looks almost the same as any other variant of the Mercedes W124 range.

Called by many a wolf in sheep's clothing, the impressive sedan built by Porsche in Stuttgart knows how to stand out even when it comes to luxury or sophistication. With leather upholstery, air conditioning, wooden ornaments and multifunctional chairs are just one example.

Available for sale in the spring of 1991, the famous and fabulous model offered under the name Mercedes 500 E was assembled in 10,479 copies, according to data available to the general public.
