[Auto] RAV4 exceeds 150,000 units sold in Mexico

RAV4 arrived on Mexican soil in 2003 and immediately became the truck par excellence to transport, comfortably and safely, many Mexican families. Its excellent performance in any type of road caused its consolidation over time, until 2016 became its best year of sales in Mexico with 14,848 units sold.

Now, Toyota celebrates that one of its spoiled vehicles exceeds more than 150,000 units sold (154,050 units sold at the end of April), which are a reflection of the confidence that this SUV of the Japanese brand has built over 18 years in Aztec territory.

 

This is how RAV4 has managed to position itself in the top 3 of Toyota's best-selling models throughout its history in Mexico, only below Hilux and Corolla.

 

In 2019, the fifth generation of this SUV once again surprised our country with an electrified hybrid version, joining the Prius, Prius C and Camry at that time in the Toyota family of sustainable mobility, which would later be strengthened with the arrival of Corolla Hybrid and a hybrid Sienna in all its versions.

 

Now its 2021 model year has the task of continuing to forge the RAV4 legend, and it has everything to achieve it, since its gasoline versions have a 2.5 in-line 4-cylinder engine with a maximum power of 204 HP and an automatic transmission of 8 speeds.
