Amazon's Kindle series of eReaders has incorporated a new feature in its 'firmware' that allows the cover of the book that the user is currently reading to be displayed on the device's lock screen.

The novelty is present in the latest version of the Kindle 'firmware' distributed by Amazon, 5.13.5, which is already available for various models of the company's eReaders such as Paperwhite, Oasis and Kindle, as reported by the Good e- portal. Reader.

Until now, Amazon devices did not allow to show the book cover in any way on the lock screen, but with the new 'firmware' for the first time this function becomes available.

Amazon has confirmed to the aforementioned media the existence of this new feature, which has already begun to reach users in some countries such as India and Mexico, and has anticipated that it will be launched globally in the coming weeks.

Users can activate this new feature and see if it is activated in the Kindle settings menu, from the device options section, where the new option, 'Show cover' is located, which can be activated or disabled manually.
