From March to November, the motorcycle speed world championship involves 22 riders in 20 races. Find all the information in our guide.
[Updated 03/29/2021 at 10:40 am] After a 2020 season exclusively contested in Europe, due to a health crisis, MotoGP aims to restore its status as a world championship. Thus, at the start of spring 2021, the Losail circuit in Qatar regains its role of opener, through a double round organized on March 28 and April 4 .
In 2020, in addition to the absence of an extra-European event, MotoGP had been forced to resort to many double heats to reach a total of 14 races, from July to November, half of which in Spain. A year later, the health crisis is still relevant, but the calendar returns to a more traditional aspect, starting in March with the Grand Prix of Qatar, to end in November in Valencia . Moreover, no less than 20 meetings are on the program for this season, which would constitute a new record for the discipline. For its part, the French Grand Prix is back to its spring date, the next edition on the Bugatti circuit in Le Mans being scheduled for May 14 to 16, 2021 .
