Under the leadership of new coach Thomas Tuchel, Chelsea continued their "perfect" results, reaching the semi-finals of the FA Cup, after a 2-0 victory over Sheffield United on Sunday night.

 

Chelsea beat Sheffield United 2-0, thanks to a reverse goal scored by Oliver Norwood, and a goal by Moroccan winger Hakim Ziyech near the end, to reach the semi-finals of the FA Cup for the fourth time in 5 seasons.

 

With his victory at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea coach Thomas Tuchel extended his unbeaten run at the start of his career with the London club, and the German coach has won 10 games and drawn 4 in all competitions since replacing Frank Lampard in January.

 

Bottom line in the Premier League, Sheffield showed early attacking intentions, but fell behind in the 24th minute when Norwood placed the ball in his own range as he tried to block Ben Chilwell's shot.

 

With Sheffield advancing the attack in search of a draw in the final minutes, Ziyech scored a beautiful goal from a quick counterattack to clinch Chelsea's victory in stoppage time.

 

Sheffield recovered after the break but lacked the final touch in front of goal and missed several dangerous chances.

Tuchel's team will know the identity of their semi-final opponent when the draw is drawn between the two halves of the last eight-match match between Leicester and Manchester United later on Sunday.

 

The two semi-final matches will be held next month and the final will be held on May 15th.
