[Auto] Nissan integrates AT&T Auto Conectado into its connectivity services

The Japanese brand makes its NissanConnect Wi-fi Hotspot provided by AT&T available to customers of certain models for the first time, thus strengthening its portfolio in connectivity services.

AT&T Auto Conectado aims to make each trip a unique experience and that is why, once the vehicle is turned on, it turns it into a Wi-Fi access point.

"One of the pillars of this brand differentiator is connectivity, which is why NissanConnect Services is a very important step in marking a new era in our portfolio of services, bringing the technologies of the future to the present."

Through this robust connectivity package, Nissan offers a number of features that reinforce the importance of safety.

For example, an SOS button is incorporated, with which the user can ask for help in case of an emergency. In the event of a severe mishap that detonates the airbags, a specialist will automatically contact the driver for assistance.

 

A third function in this regard is location and immobilization in case of theft, which can also help the police locate the vehicle. For its part, the Alarm Notification function will send an alert in real time to the owner's cell phone in the event that his vehicle's alarm is activated.

 

NissanConnect® Services also offers vehicle monitoring and diagnostic capabilities. The owner will be able to know precisely the state of the engine, oil level, state of the air bags and state of the braking system, among other data. In the event of a malfunction, you will receive cell phone alerts. This way, the owner can receive notifications about their next service, warranty alerts and more, all through the screen of their Nissan.

 

In terms of comfort, this new Nissan solution offers, for example, in the event that the driver cannot locate his vehicle, to use the app so that the lights flash and the horn is activated remotely. Also, one of the functions allows you to remotely lock or unlock the doors from the cell phone.

 

The driver can also request the advice of a specialist to reach his destination; instructions will go directly to your Nissan. You can even connect with roadside assistance, who will send help directly to the location.

 

Complementing the new connectivity offer, Nissan will begin to offer in selected models a Wi-Fi Hotspot service provided by AT&T, which will allow the user and their companions to connect up to 7 devices with a WiFi connection. The packages range from $ 220.00 MXN for 2 Gigas, to an unlimited annual package.

 

One of the first models in which NissanConnect Services will be offered is in the new Nissan Kicks 2021, which, in addition to a renewed design and new safety features, reinforces the connectivity section. Proudly produced in Mexico, it combines the best of Japanese engineering with the excellence of national manufacturing and Latin DNA. The newly revamped Nissan Sentra in its 2021 model year also integrates NissanConnect Services at the Exclusive grade.

 

By acquiring a 2021 Nissan Kicks in the Platinum grade, the customer can enjoy a 5-year * basic package from NissanConnect Services as well as a 6-month trial of a Premium package **, so that customers know all the capabilities that this offers new service. Additionally, the trial period adds 1 month or 1 GB (whichever comes first) of data for Wi-Fi Hotspot usage ***.
