[Auto]Pietro Fittipaldi, John Falb and Rui Andrade will compete in the ELMS

Pietro, in addition to competing in this European series, will continue as a reserve and test driver in the Haas F1 Team, in addition to racing in the oval competitions in the United States with the Dale Coyne Racing team in the NTT IndyCars Series

The third-generation racer from Brazil made his 2011 NASCAR Whelen All-American Series debut, but moved to Europe to pursue a single-seater race, and among his most notable accolades are victories in the Formula Renault 2.0 championship, the series based in India. during the winter of 2015-16, and the final version of the World Series Formula V8 3.5 in 2017.

 

Those successes opened the doors in F1 as the young Brazilian driver assumed the role of official test and reserve driver for the Haas F1 Team. He participated in preseason and young driver tests, but would race for Haas at the 2020 Sakhir and Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, replacing the injured Romain Grosjean, and while he will continue with Haas as a reserve driver, he has also committed to a season. “I have a lot of experience in formula-type cars, but I have also raced and tested closed-cab race cars. I was the fastest rookie in an end-of-season test in the Porsche 919 Hybrid LMP1. However, I always take things step by step because each car requires a different style and approach, and it can take time to adapt. My first test with Algarve Pro Racing is coming up very soon and I am very excited.
