SougarLord
Samsung will launch its SoCs with AMD RDNA graphics this year Samsung's SoCs, called Exynos, are a very interesting solution for smartphones and tablets, among others. These chips are based on the ARM big.LITTLE architecture, which combines high-power cores and high-efficiency cores. Now they will also be combined with AMD RDNA graphics, to improve gaming performance. Specifically, Twitter user Ice Universe indicates that Samsung will launch three SoCs. The Exynos 2200 Series would be the most powerful solution, the top-of-the-range chip. One notch below would be the high-end Exynos 1200 Series. Finally for the mid-range there is the Exynos 800 Series. The two most powerful would be those that integrate RDNA graphics. These new Exynos SoCs will combine ARM cores and AMD RDNA graphics would arrive by the end of the year. Samsung will target them first for high-end smartphones and then for Windows 10 ARM laptops. Quite possibly the Exynos 2200 Series SoCs would be destined for the Galaxy Note or the Galaxy Fold. Then it remains to be seen which SoC will be integrated into laptops and what performance they will offer. It seems that Samsung is going straight for Apple, copying the strategy of the Cupertino company to launch notebooks with ARM architecture SoCs. It will be interesting to see what the AMD RDNA architecture brings to the ARM architecture. The combination of both architectures could lead to major changes in the market. Although it is true that we do not know anything and that it is premature to speculate. 2021 Exynos Exynos 8xx Exynos 12xx Exynos 22xx
