Immediately after the end of the race, His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, Minister of Sports, in the presence of His Royal Highness Prince Khalid bin Sultan bin Abdullah Al-Faisal, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Automobile and Motorcycle Federation, British racer Sam Bird from the Jaguar Racing Team won the title of the second round and first place in This race, while Dutch racer Robin Friens, driver of Infigen Virgin Racing, came second, and third place went to French racer Jean-Eric Verne, driver of DSChetah.

 

The Dutch racer "Nick De Vries" from the Mercedes Benz EQ team won first place in the opening round of the international race that took place yesterday evening at the circuit of Diriyah, beating the Swiss competitor, "Eduardo Montara" from the Rocket Venturi Racing team, who came in Second place, while New Zealand racer Mitch Evans of Jaguar Racing finished third.

 

The second round, which was held today, started at (8.00) in the evening and lasted for (45) minutes, amid great competition from the contestants, who numbered (23) drivers, representing 12 international teams, after the withdrawal of the Swiss driver Eduardo Mortara, a team driver. Rocket Venturi Racing, who finished runner-up in the first-round race, had an accident during the afternoon's qualifying rounds.

 

The participating drivers talked about their admiration for the professional organization of the races, and the warm reception they found in the Kingdom, and praised the remarkable development that the Kingdom is witnessing at various levels. The Dutchman, Nick de Vries, winner of the first round, said: “Circuit of Diriyah is my favorite, and this is not It is only due to the fact that I won the first race, before I came this year, I always said that it is my favorite arena, and it is the ideal circuit for Formula E races, and it is ideal for racing on the streets, the circuit is very fast and includes many narrow and difficult turns, and what Saudi Arabia is doing in support of sports Global cars, highlighting Formula E sport and its drivers to the world is a very wonderful thing, and we are all happy to be here. ”
