Chinese manufacturer Asgard announces its own DDR5 RAM memory module

Who has echoed this information is the IThome medium. The Chinese company Asgard, unknown to all, is one of the most advanced in the industry at the moment. This company could be ready to supply these memories when processors are released.

Asgard has announced the VMA5AUK-MMH224W3 modules. According to the manufacturer, these modules arrive in capacities of 32GB, 64GB and 128GB at a frequency of 4800MHz. By design and working frequencies it seems that these memories would be destined for server processors.

The company currently only offers 64GB capacity RAM modules, with 32GB and 128GB arriving later. These first modules will operate at a modest frequency of 4800MHz. Recall that the maximum of the DDR5 standard is 8400MHz, but it will still take time to reach these frequencies.

These Asgard modules will operate at a voltage of 1.1V, which is the reference voltage for said standard. The memories of this Chinese company will arrive with times of 40-40-40. Note that Asgard has mentioned that they have not started mass-producing these DDR5 memories.

Perhaps the most interesting thing about this is the reveal that Asgard has made. According to the Chinese company Intel Alder Lake, Sapphire Rapids and Tiger Lake-U processors will support DDR5 RAM. AMD Rembrandt processors and Van Gogh APUs would also support these memories.

We will have to wait to learn more about the construction and other information of these modules.
