The Internet is a whole jungle. And one of the biggest problems it has is that our children are exposed to it. For infants, it is essential to apply restrictions and develop tools for parents to control what they do on the network of networks.

Microsoft is already doing it with a mode for children in its browser, Microsoft Edge: the mode for children. It is not known when it will arrive in Spain, but it is already available to Insiders, Microsoft software beta testers on the Dev and Canary channels, so it should arrive in the coming weeks.

This mode will try not only to assist parents to control their children's actions in the browser, but also to provide resources to children so that they can navigate safely, such as articles or personalized browser themes.

In addition to all the above mentioned, the children mode will activate the Bing SafeSearch filter in, forgive redundancy, Microsoft's Bing search engine. It will establish the prevention of data tracking as strict to prevent the young person from being tracked, and it will also not require a child account.

It will be easy to set up and use, even if the user logs in from a shared computer. By means of a password, exceptions can be given to the browser user in case of false positives of danger or to allow access to certain pages. This could be true for, for example, if the kid wants to access a kid-friendly website that the mode qualifies as unsafe.

With this software, parents will be able to choose which websites their children access, having an "allowed" list that parents can adjust as they want. It can be edited, again, more easily so that the growth and browsing experience are gradual.

There will be more news in this mode, since as we say, it is still in its early stages of development. Hopefully when you exit the Dev and Canary channels and go to the stable server Microsoft will add new features that add tools for both parents and children. If you are a Microsoft Insider, we recommend that you send feedback to Microsoft to determine the development of this feature and improve it.
