César Vallejo and Ayacucho FC already know who they will play in the Copa Libertadores 2021. While the northern team will face the Venezuelan Caracas in Phase 1, the Ayacucho team will run into a Brazilian squad, still to be defined, in what corresponds to Phase 2.

César Vallejo earned the right to participate in that instance of the Copa Libertadores, thinking of reaching the group stage, after achieving third place in the accumulated table of League 1 last season. For its part, Caracas, after finishing fourth in the llanera league.

Ayacucho FC, which had a great campaign under the guidance of Gerardo Ameli, was in the 2020 League 1 playoffs, and agreed to one more round than the "Poets." The adversary of the ‘Foxes’ is considered Brazil 7, awaiting the definition of the Brazilian league, in which four rounds remain to be played.

 

Conmebol raffled this Friday the crosses between the teams that will play the first and second phases of the Copa Libertadores 2021 that will start on February 24.

The round-trip games of the first phase were set for February 24 and March 3.

The 2021 Copa Libertadores will begin less than a month after Palmeiras achieved the title of the 2020 edition of the continental cup by defeating Santos 1-0 at Maracana on January 30.
