Carlos Neuhaus, technical secretary of the support group for the vaccination process against COVID-19, welcomed the announcement made this Wednesday by President Francisco Sagasti and pointed out that China has ratified the importance of Peru in the distribution of vaccines.

The businessman pointed out to Nothing Is Said by RPP that the delivery delay is not strange with this type of "high demand products".

"There are many difficulties in the world today, flights are being closed for the transport of various products, including vaccines. Right now there is a very important demand for these vaccines. In addition, apparently there are outbreaks in China and the Chinese have been quite cautious on this issue, but they have ratified that Peru is a country that has priority for them and that they are going to dispatch the required vaccines to us. "

Likewise, he downplayed the suspension of flights by the airline KLM, which had initially been contracted to transport immunizers from Beijing to Lima.

"There is a problem between KML and the Chinese authorities and flights were suspended. But it is not the only one leaving China, there are many others. Simply and simply looking for another flight and there is no problem," he said.

He also indicated that the Peruvian State "met all its requirements last week" and ruled out that the vaccines are not ready to be shipped.

"The vaccines are available at their boarding point, ready to be picked up, waiting for there to be nothing more than a flight available to bring them to Lima as soon as possible," he said.

Regarding the possibility of advancing the shipment, as announced by the Head of State, Carlos Neuhaus pointed out that "work is being done to make that happen, but the date we have to bring all of it is to leave on Saturday 13 (Chinese time) or Friday 12 in Peru, and it should arrive on Sunday 14 ".

"There is no more barrier that appears, it has been confirmed with the Chinese authorities that this is no longer going to be the case," he concluded.
