And the result is pretty good! Although we see it very often in town, the Dacia Duster also has quite interesting crossing capacities, as we saw during a previous test, then opposing it to the Suzuki Jimmy. The low-cost SUV had done quite well against the Japanese SUV, proving its great versatility despite its ultra-low price. But some sometimes go further, going so far as to install tracks on their vehicle, for generally very specific uses, in particular for mountain professionals and difficult terrain. In short, it is not really something exceptional, even if it is relatively rare to come across such an example on a daily basis. But a French company wanted to push the vice a little further, this time tackling the pick-up version. Haven't you seen one on the road before? This is normal, because if this body does exist in the vehicle catalog, it is however only available in Romania , its native market. The mechanics in charge of this astonishing project then grafted to the car a specific kit designed by the Romanian company Mudster, composed of four tracks replacing the original wheels. The result is a vehicle raised by several hundredths and with an unusual look to say the least, which is sure to attract the attention of the curious once it is on the road. Note that each of these tracks weighs no less than 111 kilos, while the maximum speed of the car is then limited to 60 km / h. So you will understand, this Dacia DusterAll-terrain pick-up should above all be reserved for use in the mountains and in particular on snow, where it should feel particularly at its ease thus equipped. We don't know about you, but we can't wait to see him in action! Motor unchanged As unusual as it is, this pick-up has not changed its engine, which therefore remains consistent with the version sold in Romania. As a reminder, this version is only available with a single engine, namely a four-cylinder 1.5 liter dCi diesel with 115 horsepower and 260 Nm of torque. Note that the Dacia Duster Pick-Up is billed for the equivalent of € 22,500, an amount already relatively high for a model of the brand, to which must be added the price of the track kit, with an approximate value of 14,800 € but also that of the workforce. Suffice to say that it will take around 40,000 € to afford such a vehicle, which meets very specific uses and which should therefore not be sold to the first comer.
