Meteorologists issued a strong wind orange code on Thursday morning and extended the existing yellow code warning until Friday morning, which was issued for 27 counties until this evening.

The first yellow wind code warning is valid until Thursday evening, at 21:00, when the wind will have temporary intensifications in the northwest and center of the country with speeds of
55 ... 60 km / h, and on restricted areas 70 .. .80 km / h. In the mountains, the wind will intensify, with speeds of 70 ... 90 km / h, and especially in the high area, the gusts will exceed 100… 110 km / h, scattering the snow and causing the decrease of visibility.

The meteorologists specify that wind intensifications, with speeds generally of 40 ... 50 km / h, will be signaled locally and in the rest of the territory.

The NMA also issued two other warnings, orange and yellow.

The code orange is valid between 12:00 and 21:00 and targets local areas of the Eastern Carpathians, generally over 1500 m, where the wind will have sustained intensifications with gusts that will exceed 120 ... 130 km / h blowing snow and causing a significant decrease in visibility.
