The news front on Grand Theft Auto 6 is currently very scarce, with very little known about the project or whether it will be coming anytime soon. GTA 5 continues to be an extremely profitable game for Rockstar. GTA Online being amongst the most po[CENSORED]r multiplayer experiences to date. Although there was a potential GTA 6 teaser discovered in a recent trailer Rockstar is being very tight-lipped on how rumored progress on the next installment is going. According to one prominent insider, GTA 6 is currently being developed, however, it is nowhere near ready. GTA 6 Development Details GTA 6 has been rumored to be in development for some time. One insider named Yan2295 has been able to confidently state that this is the case. The game, rumored to be in development for PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC has not made any appearances yet despite much excitement and anticipation from fans. According to Yan2295, GTA 6 is currently under development. The game, however, is a very long way off, Yan notes on Twitter regarding GTA 6: As is often the case, any details regarding games currently in development are scarce and vague. The Rockstar Games insider confirmed that GTA 6 is under development, however, Yan also implies that any news is likely a very long way off. After all, right now Rockstar is currently focusing on the 'expanded and enhanced' version of Grand Theft Auto V for Playstation 5 It seems unlikely that we are going to see GTA 6 in 2021, considering GTA 5's remaster will be coming in the second half of this year. It wouldn't make financial sense to release a trailer for GTA 6 amidst GTA V's re-release. Grand Theft Auto 6 Future Release We wouldn't hold out hope for a release date anytime soon. GTA 6 is likely going to take some time, and by that, we mean a very long time. That doesn't mean that you can't get excited about the game. There are still many frequent updates for GTA: Online. The latest update is the New Years Update, which adds more freebies to the ever-growing multiplayer experience. The Cayo Perico heist is also available, which finally caters to solo players. If you haven't checked out the latest content update, give it a go. The update tasks the player with taking out an infamous drug leader "El Rubio". It's important to recognize that potential leaks and insider information should always be taken with a pinch of salt. Although GTA 6 is currently in development, we still don't really have that much information about the game. Unfortunately, this insider leak is limited in what it can tell us about GTA 6. We can gleam that GTA 6 is a long way off being ready for release, but we can be sure when it is ready it will be a groundbreaking game in the Grand Theft Auto series.
