Mindsphere. Posted December 16, 2020 Posted December 16, 2020 The only car in the world has been put up for sale. Many know it from the game Need for Speed II Unique copy Produced in 1993 Mercedes V12 engine Car enthusiasts with fat accounts in the bank have the opportunity to buy a unique car. One that a lot of people only know from the game Need for Speed II SE. Isdera, a small company specializing in car construction, was born in 1982 with Eberhard Schulz, a former Porsche engineer, as its founder. Being assembled by a handful of people, in order to get hold of a model, Isdera had to talk directly to the company's founder. Although they have released several models, the best known is undoubtedly the Commendatore 112i: a unique one that car enthusiasts could "drive" in Need for Speed II. Isdera Commendatore 112i is a mixture of parts borrowed from other cars, in short. The 6.0-liter V12 engine, M120, is from Mercedes-Benz, the manual gearbox is modified by RUF, the retractable headlights are borrowed from Porsche 968 and the instrument cluster is also from Mercedes. The body was designed in the wind tunnel of the Stuttgart brand to be as aerodynamic as possible. Precisely for this reason, the side mirrors are missing (it has one mounted on the ceiling) and the windshield wiper has been redesigned from scratch. Schulz wanted to see his creation in the legendary 24 Le Mans race, but due to lack of funds, this did not happen. Fortunately, with the help of Swiss investors, he completed the only Commendatore 112i he brought to the Frankfurt Motor Show in 1999. The car was exhibited under the name Silver Arrow and had some CLK GTR mirrors and BBS rims. In 2016, Isdera regained possession of the car and brought it to its 1993 specification. Now, even the company founded 38 years ago is selling this masterpiece on four wheels. Isdera Commendatore 112i has 10,500 kilometers on board and hopes to find a new owner in the auction organized next year by RM Sotheby's in Paris. The car is sold without reservation so we can't talk about a fixed price. But, given the uniqueness, it will definitely sell for a handsome amount. 4
