According to sources, the model will be equipped with a plug-in hybrid propulsion system capable of delivering about 800 hp. In recent weeks, Mercedes-Benz has released a series of new information on the next generation S-Class. The model will be presented on September 2 and promises both aesthetic changes and a lot of news in the field of safety and assistance systems. At the same time, the future S-Class will be available in an electric version called EQS. As before, customers will discover in the offer and versions signed by the AMG division. According to reports, the Germans will not offer an AMG S65, the W12 engine will be available only on Mercedes-Maybach variants. Also, the future AMG S63 could be equipped exclusively with a plug-in hybrid propulsion system. According to sources, the top of the range will rely on the same system prepared by the Germans for the future Mercedes-AMG GT 73 4-Door Coupe. Reports mention a 4.0-liter biturbo V8 and an electric motor. In total, the plug-in hybrid system would provide about 800 horsepower.
