G h o s t l y. Posted December 3, 2020 Posted December 3, 2020 Just a few months ago an update was presented for the Jaguar F-Pace, which is the flagship of the SUV range in the British firm. Among its novelties was a P400e plug-in hybrid version, but nothing was mentioned about the sports variant and that made the alarms go off. However, its more purist fans are in luck, because here comes the Jaguar F-Pace SVR 2021 introducing new features while maintaining its strengths. Probably the most positive news is that the 5.0-liter supercharged V8 mechanics continues to be used, which is already a standard within Jaguar Land Rover. It develops the same power as its predecessor and a little more torque, that is, it stays at a not inconsiderable 550 hp and 700 Nm. It is linked to the same eight-speed automatic transmission and features all-wheel drive and Intelligent Driveline Dynamics as standard to distribute torque between the axles independently and almost immediately. It improves its performance slightly compared to the previous model. This Jaguar F-Pace SVR is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km / h in 4.0 seconds and its top speed is 286 km / h, while slightly reducing fuel consumption and emissions. It achieves this, in part, thanks to changes in its electronics, since at the software level it achieves more precise acceleration, a hardened suspension, steering with greater weight and improves the mapping of the exhaust gases. Enter Comfort and Dynamic modes to change the setting of the steering and Adaptive Dynamics suspension. On the other hand, the usual JaguarDrive Control driving modes are maintained, which are Comfort, Eco, Rain-Ice-Snow and Dynamic. Another point where the Jaguar F-Pace SVR improves is in braking. It has 395mm discs on the front axle and 396mm on the rear axle with the new Power Booster, which has a sportier and shorter pedal, as well as offering an electric boost. The aesthetics of this high-flying SUV has to be consistent and is inspired by the competition. It slightly reduces its drag coefficient thanks to sportier bumpers and improved air intakes. The bonnet features two air vents, while new 22-inch wheels are chosen in a gloss black finish with gray inserts. That satin gray will be present in other trim on the outside. It can also be distinguished by the quadruple exhaust outlet that is perfectly integrated into the rear diffuser. Inside, the technology is updated thanks to the Pivi Pro system with its 11.4-inch main screens with full connectivity, in addition to the 12.3-inch digital instrumentation. The Jaguar F-Pace SVR will also feature the sports seats with semi-aniline leather upholstery and the version logos or the aluminum inserts (carbon fiber optionally) that line the cabin. Receive the new Drive Selector to select the driving mode.
