Dark Posted December 3, 2020 Posted December 3, 2020 A bug in the Google Assistant has caused the user interface to disappear for users of the new Google phones, including the Pixel 4, 4a, 4a 5G and 5. Due to a bug, users of these devices have stopped seeing the current, minimalist user interface, and the older Google Assistant design appears in its place. The bug also affects some functions of the Assistant, such as allowing you to have a continuous conversation without saying 'Hey Google'. Voice recognition is also slow. So far, it seems that the bug, which is quite widespread among owners of the latest Pixel phone models, is related to a server error, as reported by the 9to5Google portal.
