MINI India introduced a new limited edition MINI John Cooper Works GP Inspired Edition in the country at a price of Rs 46.90 lakh (ex-showroom, India). Offered as a Completely Built-Up unit (CBU), only 15 units of the MINI John Cooper Works GP Inspired Edition are available for India. The MINI John Cooper Works GP Inspired Edition pays tribute to the MINI John Cooper Works GP, by bringing authentic racetrack flair to the road. The limited-edition brings in racing-inspired looks coupled with the finest quality materials along and hosts of visual enhancements.

 

 

The exterior of the MINI John Cooper Works GP Inspired Edition takes inspiration from the motorsport heritage of the British brand. The limited-edition offers exterior changes such as racing grey metallic exterior colour, contrasting melting silver metallic roof, mirror caps and John Cooper Works rear spoiler. The 18in two-tone alloys come with GP badged wheel hub caps while the exterior surrounds, inner parts of headlights & rear lights, door handles, fuel filler cap, front grille surround and MINI emblem in the front & rear are part of the piano black exterior package. The side scuttles and air intake trim gets carbon fibre highlight.

The interior of the MINI John Cooper Works GP Inspired Edition carries forward the racing heritage with sports seats in leather Dinamica finish with GP badging. The GP logo is also featured on the floor mats for the driver and front passenger, while both front and rear mats are finished in red stitching. The steering wheel is crafted in ‘Walknappa’ leather with red contrast stitching. The 3D-printed paddle shifts with distinctive GP badging is exclusive to this limited edition. The key receives 3D printed GP inspired keycap. The panorama sunroof allows ample amounts of natural light and fresh air in the cabin.

The MINI John Cooper Works GP Inspired Edition is feature-loaded with 6.5-inches circular central instrument panel surrounded by an LED ring. The standard infotainment features include Apple CarPlay, MINI navigation system, Radio MINI visual boost with touch functionality, USB interface and Harman Kardon audio system, featuring 12 speakers and an 8-channel digital amplifier. The standard safety equipment comprises of front and passenger airbags, brake assist, 3-point seat belts, dynamic stability control, crash sensor, anti-lock braking system, cornering brake control and run-flat indicator.

The MINI John Cooper Works GP Inspired Edition comes with a 2.0 litre, 4-cylinder TwinPower turbo engine developing 231bhp and 320Nm, coupled with 8-speed Steptronic Sport transmission. The limited-edition accelerates from 0-100kmph in 6.1seconds.
