Italy extended a perfect streak to 19 games without a defeat, drawing 1-1 with hosts Netherlands, on Wednesday, but it gave up the top of its group in the European Nations League.

Lorenzo Pellegrini put Italy ahead in the 16th minute, but Donnie Van de Beek equalized after 9 minutes, ending the Netherlands' fasting of scoring in 3 matches.

The two teams were unable to score in the second half due to the absence of the decisive touch.

Italy, which has 6 points from 4 games, lost the lead in Group A in favor of Poland, who defeated Bosnia 3-0, to raise its tally to 7 points.

The Netherlands ranks third with 5 points.

In another match in the same tournament, England fell at the "Wembley" stadium in front of its Danish guest 0-1, to restore the winning Belgian team to its Icelandic host 2-1 to top the second group in the first classification.

Denmark's victory is thanks to the goal of Inter Milan player Christian Eriksen (36 from a penalty kick), and the valiantness of Leicester City goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel, who saved his own goal.

The guests benefited from the overload after Harry Maguire was expelled from the ranks of the "Three Lions" for receiving two warnings (5 and 31).

The referee awarded a penalty kick against England, after Kyle Walker blocked the opponent Thomas Delaney inside the forbidden area, and the "ice man" Eriksen hit it successfully (36).

It is the first loss for the England team, which fell to third place with seven points, by direct confrontation with Denmark, while Belgium returned to the top with nine points, leaving Iceland without a balance.

Reese James was sent off by England at the end of the match in injury time (90 + 4).

On the other hand, Romelu Lukaku led his country to the top again after he abandoned it in the last round after losing to England 1-2.

Lukaku scored two goals for Belgium (9 and 38 from a penalty kick), while the goal for Iceland was signed by Birker Mar Sivarson (17).

The champions of the four groups from the first level qualify for the Nations League finals, which are held in a knockout system with two semi-finals and then a final match for the title.
