La Vinotinto could do little against the offensive power of the Colombian team, which this Friday gave it a 3-0 win in Barranquilla and took all three points on the first day of the World Cup Qualifiers in Qatar 2022.

Just at the beginning of the first half, the Colombians at minute 4 of the game gave the first warning to the Creoles, after a dangerous play with a shot from Cuadrado.

The first goal of the game was scored by the coffee team in the 14th minute, thanks to a break from Cuadrado down the left wing defended by Roberto Rosales and who hung up the center so that his teammate Duván Zapata was in charge of hanging the 1-0.

After the first goal, Colombia took control of the ball to mark the bars of the match without giving the national team greater chances.

That was how the second goal for the Colombians arrived at minute 26 thanks to the player Muriel, who in a solo play took a shot inside the Venezuelan area and beat Wilker Fariñes to 2-0. Muriel would see the door for the second time at the close of the first half at 45 + 3 to seal the final 3-0.

The second half started and the Vinotinto came out with the illusion of shortening the differences, but they found a solid and compact Colombia in all its lines without giving them spaces for the Creoles to play their game.

A second half that was pending, in which both dozen created actions facing the goal but without effectiveness crashing the ball under the three sticks.

The Colombians repeated the script of the first half and it was they who dominated the scoreboard and the pitch where on several occasions they were able to go up in the light but they found the wall of Wilker Farniñes who responded categorically despite the three goals received in the first half.

With this result, the new national coach José Peseiro added his first defeat at the helm of Vinotinto, who will play again for the second date of the Qatar 2022 World Cup Qualifiers against Paraguay on October 13 in Venezuelan territory.
