Djokovic ya está en semifinales de Roland Garros

Eliminates Pablo Carreño from Gijón in four competitive sets (4-6, 6-2, 6-3 and 6-4) and meets with 'Stef' Tsitsipas

The Serb qualifies for a Roland Garros 'semis' for the tenth time. Only Rafa Nadal surpasses him (13)

Novak Djokovic has no intention of hitting the brakes in Paris. He wants to continue adding Grand Slam titles at any cost. It is true that today he did not have his most comfortable afternoon, but he fulfilled as expected of a champion at this stage of the tournament. He had to come back from a set against Pablo Carreño who left his soul in Philippe Chatrier. He won in four sets (4-6, 6-2, 6-3 and 6-4) and will face Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas for a place in the 2020 Roland Garros final.

The current number one, who went from less to more, turned on after losing that initial set (it is the first one he lets slip in this edition) and once again showed that you need to develop the best tennis of your life to overcome it in a match five sets. And that Djokovic ended, even, with more unforced errors (41 for Carreño's 29).

Unlike the formula he applied in his previous commitments and knowing what he was facing, 'Nole' proposed a physical battle to Carreño and took it to the points. It wears you out with each exchange physically and mentally, and if the problem it poses is inspired by it, it is impossible to solve. And that was the story of the last three sets. An interesting figure is that of exchanges of more than nine strokes (34-21 for the Serbian).
