[Auto] M Performance Parts come to the new BMW M3 and M4

After meeting the controversial new generation BMW M3 and M4 and their two huge kidneys, it is time to see them in the branded tracksuit. The German manufacturer shows us how aggressive and inconspicuous its products can be if the correct garments are chosen from the M Performance Parts catalog. Because sometimes having more than 500 hp under the hood is not enough with the original aesthetics, so it must also appear that there are half a thousand horses waiting to gallop.
 

In total, BMW will offer the new M3 and M4 with almost three dozen different M Performance parts. There is a wide variety of carbon fiber accessories throughout the body ranging from the front and rear diffusers to the canards and the rear view mirror housings.
There are also new designs for the alloy wheels, changes to the interior trim, and a new generously-high spoiler that doesn't stand out as much against an exhaust system that will make the Lexus IS F's exits seem restrained.
 

And just starting with one of the most significant improvements, there is a unique exhaust system that features the center-mounted tailpipes of a much more aggressive carbon fiber diffuser than stock. A diffuser that, incidentally, has the same functionality as putting the stickers of the circuits you have been on on the boot door. The company says that this exhaust system has variable valve opening and closing control - to make it more compliant or noisy - and that the pipes are made of titanium.



 

On the other hand, the Bavarian engine manufacturer has developed a sports suspension that includes a set of coilover-type shock absorbers that allow owners to adjust the ride height between five and 20 millimeters (BMW recommends lowering it 10 mm compared to the M configuration of factory). Another major performance change comes in the form of new brake pads that promise shorter braking distances, better response characteristics and high thermal resistance.
 

The M Performance parts range also comprises two summer wheel sets. Regarding the wheel designs, we have a first model - 963M - with Y-spokes painted in a Frozen Gunmetal Gray tone of 19 inches at the front and 20 at the rear. Then there is another highlight with crossed spokes –1000M– stained in Gold Bronze or Matt Jet-Black with the M Performance lettering. In this case, it's 20 inches in front and 21 inches in the rear. Optionally, there are 19-inch twin-spoke winter tires - 829M -.

 

The two M brothers can be further customized with the BMW Motorsport colors. The decoration set consists of the adhesive foils for each side in the three colors of the German company's sports department: red, blue and purple, and is tailor-made to match the geometry of the vehicle. Specify all this kit at the dealer, and without a doubt you will have the most extreme and striking version of the M3 or M4, which will go on sale in March 2021. Although that is not all, because the cabin also receives its treatment.
 

The wide range of products in the M Performance Parts catalog also extends to the interior, where there are thresholds with the M Performance nomenclature, M Performance floor mats and a lot of Alcantara along with carbon fiber trim with matt coating, something that is always appreciated in a sports. There is also an M Performance Pro steering wheel with blue dial at 12 o'clock and hand-stitched seams finished in the M colors. Additionally, carbon shift paddles covered with an open-pore carbon weave can be ordered.
