The Japanese Hiroki Sakai, right-back for Olympique de Marseille, has exonerated the Brazilian Neymar of any racist insult and is glad that both the Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) striker and his teammate Álvaro González have not fallen any sanction.

 

According to the interpretation of some images broadcast in Spain, Neymar allegedly called Sakai "Chinese shit" in the league match on September 13, in which the Parisians lost 1-0 against Marseille.

In a message posted Thursday night, Sakai admitted that these last two weeks "have been difficult" but was glad that the French Professional Football League (LFP) has not sanctioned Neymar or Gónzalez.

 

The PSG star, who was already punished with a two-game suspension for slapping González in that match, claimed that the Spanish player had called him a "monkey son of a bitch", something the latter has denied.

In parallel, it was said that Neymar had proffered homophobic insults to González, in addition to having allegedly insulted Sakai.

 

The Disciplinary Commission of the LFP assured on September 30 that it did not have "sufficient evidence to allow it to establish" that these insults between Neymar and González took place, and did not comment on the comments allegedly made against the Japanese.
