The Professional Football League (LFP) argued that it did not find sufficient evidence to punish Neymar and Álvaro González, after the French classic between PSG and Olympique Marsella
The French Professional Football League (LFP) decided this Wednesday not to impose any sanction on the Brazilian Neymar or the Spanish Álvaro González, considering that it does not have sufficient evidence to support the mutual accusations of racist insults.

The Disciplinary Commission of the LFP explained in a statement that "it does not have sufficient evidence to allow it to establish" that these insults took place.

The Commission did not rule on Neymar's possible racist insults to the Japanese player from Marseille Hiroki Sakai, whom, according to some images released in Spain, it could call "Chinese de mie ...".

The members of this body listened to the version of Neymar and González about what happened in the league match on September 13 between Olympique Marsella (OM) and Paris Saint Germain (PSG) before making their decision.

It was a question of determining whether one and the other had crossed insults "of a discriminatory nature". Had they been found guilty, they risked being punished for ten games without playing each.

The PSG star, who has already been sanctioned with a two-game suspension for slapping Álvaro González in that match (which Marseille won), claimed that the Spanish player had called him “monkey son of p…”.

González has repeatedly denied having made that comment, and an uncle of his told a Spanish television channel that he actually called him “silly,” which sounds similar but has a very different meaning.

In parallel, it was said that Neymar had uttered homophobic insults to the Spaniard from Marseille. The meeting was full of incidents and ended with five expelled.

In addition to Neymar, the French Layvin Kurzawa (PSG, six games) and Jordan Amavi (OM, three games) have also been sanctioned for the altercations of that day for their mutual aggression; Argentine Ángel Di María (PSG, four games) for spitting on González; Argentinean Leandro Paredes (PSG, three games); and his compatriot Darío Benedetto (OM, one party).
